Among the different works in dialogue that can be seen, the drawings by Alfaro and Siza stand out. “It’s funny,” says the curator of the exhibition, “when we were preparing the exhibition, we found a drawing, a self-portrait of Siza, which Alfaro seemed to have done, remembered a portrait of the writer Joan Fuster made by Alfaro. Both had miraculously the same stroke, that way of drawing so characteristic, without lifting the pencil from the paper. ‘The exhibition,’ Silvestre explains, ‘is structured around the comparison or relationship between the different disciplines, from the most obvious ones, their respective works in the field of drawing, to the relationship between Alfaro’s sculpture and the architecture of Siza or the creative works of both in the sculptural field.
