Reuse: Industry and commerce are changing and, in response, so are the uses of former industrial facilities. Infrastructures, factories, harbours or whole areas within cities are abandoned. Derelict sites often inspire creative design strategies.They provide opportunities for unexpected, multifaceted new uses and for amazing recreational spaces in dense urban districts. Among other projects, Topos presents the High Line in New York City, strategies for Governors Island, Toronto Waterfront, Ballast Point Park in Sydney, South Lake Central Park in Tangshan, China, the redevelopment of a site in Tokyo Midtown and Hammarby Waterfront City in Stockholm.
