Guided by its philosophy “form follows content” Atelier Bruckner sees its mission as the consistent generation of spatial concepts from the content they are engaged to present—and they have been awarded many prizes for the work they have done. This book is an introduction to the history, contents, methods, instruments and making process of this relatively young design discipline.
At the same time, this book shows more than 60 international projects of Atelier Bruckner, spanning the time from 2002 to 2010. It presents concepts for permanent exhibitions such as the LWL-Museum for Archaeology in Herne, architecture created for the BMW Museum in Munich or the Deutsche Borse in Frankfurt, artistic multimedia installations such as the “Viv(r) les frontiers” pavilion at Swiss Expo 02 or media architecture for the African Pavilion at Expo 2008 in Saragossa and the State Grid Pavilion at Expo 2010 in Shanghai.
