Textures are full of intentions, to a greater or lesser extent, and endowed with meaning. This is the central theme of this issue of En Blanco, which analyzes seven works, by different authors, that stand out for the use of texture in generating their meaning. Texture is a visual element that sensitizes and materially characterizes the surfaces of objects, but what kind of knowledge can a texture give rise to? And with what method? Each of the seven works published in this issue of EN BLANCO is developed with plans, details and images. An identity card of this and the image of the texture is provided – thus conforming the contextual level of analysis – the intention is to complement it from a global perspective in the set of the seven works.
