13_Ten°: A code that can quickly be deciphered. 13groups which have devoted their lives to architecture, and which work in Hamburg, cooperate to publish a book about their work. They are very different from each other. The only common factor is that they are all based in Hamburg. An invisable conspiratorial community – all of the groups must adopt very different strategies in the daily struggle for survival, but they all have a common goal: architecture. That binds them together. Not everybody knows that Hamburg is situated exactly ten degreea east of Greenwich. A beautifual image: going out from here to the whole world. From home to abroad. A romantic image, like the successful Hamburg shipping entrepreneur, Albert Ballin, who once proclaimed: >My field is the world!< 13_Ten°!
