This second issue of ‘villardjournal’ explores the wide range of themes connected to communication and architecture. It approaches this complex and often conflicting relationship from different perspectives, with an emphasis on looking at architecture as a means of communication. Other topics include investigating the migration of architectural strategies and attitudes into the immaterial flows of information, surveying the situation of the media in relation to architecture and their possible evolution, exploring the ways in which communication works inside the design process, and addressing the need for narrative devices in order to ease the reception of architectural experiments.
