描述
Based in Hiroshima, Universal Innovative Design was established by Keisuke Maeda in 2003. Maeda’s philosophy centres on his strong belief that to create architecture is “to create an environment” in which rich human experiences can be cultivated in the context of a reciprocal relationship with the natural surroundings. This voluminous monograph presents more than 60 projects and competitions in various regions in Japan, each expressive of the profound sensitivities and harmonious balance which Maeda seeks to nurture in our interaction and communication with various natural elements. Among the featured works are homes and residences, public buildings, and renovations.
