Opened in autumn 2006, the Fabrikstrasse 4 project is the third building completed as part of the Novartis Campus in Basel. The design by Sejima + Nishizawa is essentially a rack, without a façade, with no hierarchy in its structure and built with two materials – concrete and glass. This survey features photographs by Walter Niedermayr, essays by Aaron Betsky and Valerio Olgiati and includes a comprehensive set of plans and elevations.
