Praxis is a new type of architectural journal which addresses both the architectural writer and builder, the academic and the professional, by exploring the relationship between theory and practice. The journal focuses exclusively on projects designed by an American architect or built in the Americas. Issue 1, “Detail: Specificity in Architecture,” features projects by Smith-Miller + Hawkinson, Mathias Klotz, Shim Sutcliffe, Office dA, Studio Matrixx and essays by Anthony Vidler and Peggy Deamer.
