This volume continues with publishing the contents of the sketchbooks of Norman Foster that are kept in the archive of his foundation. This project began in 2020 with a selection that gave an overview of Foster’s entire output in the period between 1975 and 2020, and was followed by a first volume of more detailed selections spanning a period of five years; Volume I thus covers the six years from the first archived sketchbook (1975) to the official designation of Foster Associates as architects of the Hongkong and Shanghai Bank (1980). Volume II, encompasses the period 1981-1985, with a total of 210 sketchbooks.
