cj LIM Born in Ipoh Malaysia. Graduated from the Architectural Association London in 1987.

Taught since 1989, he is currently Director Bartlett Architecture Research Lab, Director BSc Architecture Course + Diploma Unit Master at the Bartlett University College London. The Royal Institute of British Architects President’s Medals in Education have consistently been awarded to his students: Bronze Medal runner-ups [1992, 1995, 1996] + winner [1997, 1998], + Silver Medal winners [1993, 1994, 1995, 1998, 1999] + runner-ups [1996, 1997], In 1997, he was the first recipient of the RIBA Award for Academic Contribution in Architectural Education, + in 1998 1999.

He is a regular international Visiting Critic, RIBA External Examiner + Visiting Professor at Mackintosh School of Architecture Glasgow, School of Architecture Aarhus, Technological University Lund, Stadelschule Frankfurt, Curtin University Perth. He is listed in Debrett’s People of Today + the International Who’s Who for his architectural + academic contributions.

studio 8 architects Established in 1994. Winner of numerous international awards, the projects have been lectured, published, exhibited + discussed internationally. His first book, 441/10 well reconfigure the space when you’re ready, was published in 1996. Other books include Sins + Other Spatial Relatives [2001], Realms of Impossiblity AIR [2002], Realms of Impossiblity GROUND [2002], Realms of Impossiblity: WATER [2002], How Green is Your Garden? [2003], Devices [2004] His drawings and models form part of the architectural collection of the Fonds Regional d’Art Contemporain du Centre [FRAC] France. He is representing the United Kingdom in the Venice Architecture Biennale 2004.
