An anthology of diminutive dwellings from Japan and around the world that together form a new vernacular dependent on the constraints of site and context, ‘Mini House’ presents fascinatingly innovative solutions in both the urban and natural environments. Whether the house expresses social or user needs, or acts as a model and experiment in material or sustainable practices, each of these highly compact residences (ranging from 15 to 93 square metres in size) represents an original design solution.
