描述
The landscape of the earth is like a skin or veil, wrapping the globe in its different guises. Cities are like the skins of this skin: second skins. Architecture uses the skin of the earth; it makes it inhabitable. Architecture also turns the skin on the earth; into an expression of another space, an inner world of dreams and desires. Cities are places where these two definitions of architecture are composed into different thematic mixtures, each mixture or theme creating a specific place, a unique city. For the first time, in a site-specific work the CHORA manifesto on innovative urban planning unfolds both through the printed page and the virtual site.
