The volume edited by André Tavares, gathers 40 projects from the wide scope of Álvaro Siza’s archive and demonstrates how, in addition to drawings and plans, the correspondence with clientes, regulatory paperwork, reports from constructors, photographs of the sites, etc., iluminate the architects’ approach. All the paper ephemera – sketches, technical drawings, plans, notes, letters – is reproduced on a grey background, making a clear distinction of this section of the book.
