描述
The architects Konermann Pawlik Siegmund have placed the new building of the St. Annen Art Hall in the ruins of the Lübeck monastery church of St. Annen, which burned down in the 19th century. The exhibition building is convincing in its successful synthesis of the old and the new: the existing structure is utilised, and the ruins are neither hidden nor predominant. With this new art hall, Lübeck not only has an important location for exhibitions, it also has yet another architectural jewel.
