竹、木、紙、土、石、瓦・タイル、ガラス、樹脂、金属、膜・繊維・・・・・・隈研吾が常に探求してきた物質の可能性。建築を単独の作品と考えず継続する努力と捉え、反省と挑戦を繰り返しながら、次へのステップにつなげてきました。本書では、物質への挑戦の系譜を示した樹形図を筆頭に、製作・施工過程の記録や写真・図面を通じて、その詳細を語ります。

I regard architecture as an effort to continue without regarding it as a single work, repeatedly reflecting and challenging, it has led to the next step.
