International Interiors 5 brings together nearly sixty of the most remarkable interior design schemes created around the world over the past two years. Jeremy Myerson’s selection of work, leisure, retail and public environments rejects the merely decorative and focuses instead on design innovation and ingenuity in many guises – technical, material, spatial and social.
A wide variety of interiors are featured – from the first-ever unstaffed bank branches in The Netherlands, to the new Opera House in Lyons, France; from a Manhattan fashion showroom which uses recycled materials with great flair, to the world’s largest import trade center in Osaka, Japan. Site plans and facade shots set the scheme in their wider architectural and local context, while quotations from the architects and designers involved sum up the key challenges and aims of each project.
