The controversial glass fa ade of the Academy of Arts in Berlin, which is to be built in 2000 is the latest example of G nter Behnisch’s bold, open and transparent style of architecture, and it is these features which have characterised the work of Behnisch & Partner since the very beginning. Based in Stuttgart, Behnisch’s work has taken him beyond the borders of Germany into the Netherlands, Denmark and England, and he has become a celebrated architect throughout the world.
