‘Good Buildings on a Small Planet’ portrays wight Danish architectural firms who strive to define new ways forward. They are creating new architecture where sustainability is not simply a question of consuming less, but also about giving more. More meaning. More community. Architecture can contribute to a sustainable development not only by reducing negative climate impact, but also by enriching our daily lives, making a sustainable lifestyle the meaningful and desirable choice.

What is a good building on a small planet? How can we create a rich and humanist architecture that is built on a profound respect for local as well as global resources? The book presents eight different answers that are framed by thoughts, ideas and new architecture. It also contains an introductory essay that discusses how architecture can contribute to a sustainable architecture.
