We know how subjective a selection in an award is and how important plurality and diversity are in this decision-making process. A different set of judges would assign the prizes to a different set of works, even starting from the same sample. And if we could argue how arbitrary and fallible this is, it is exactly this subjectivity that is important to grasp.”
