Christian Kerez was born in 1962 in Maracaibo, Venezuela, and obtained his degree in architecture from the Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich. After dedicating himself to publishing his works in the field of architectural photography, he opened his own architecture studio in Zurich, Switzerland, in 1993. He was appointed visiting professor of design and architecture at the Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich in 2001, assistant professor in 2003, and full professor of design and architecture in 2009. In 2012-2013 he held the Kenzo Tange Chair of Architecture at the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University, Cambridge, MA, USA. Currently he works on different programs of various scales in France, the Czech Republic, Brazil and China.
