Berlin Mitte – Die Entstehung einer urbanen Architektur: Downtown Berlin – Building the Metropolitan Mix
Germany’s plans for a building spree aim to coalesce aspects of inner-city life: working, living, shopping and strolling. Projects include those in the Friedrichstrasse, and Unter den Linden, the American Business Center at Checkpoint Charlie and the new business quarter around the Potsdamer Platz. Of more than 100 projects considered, 40 are documented in this work, showing plans, perspectives and models of the definitive design.
