描述
Diagrams’ is an exhibition project conceived by AMO/OMA, the studio founded by RemKoolhaas, for the Fondazione Prada Venice venue, Ca’ Corner della Regina, investigating thevisual communication of data as a powerful tool for constructing meaning, comprehension ormanipulation and a pervasive instrument for analyzing, understanding and transforming thesurrounding world. It seeks to foster dialogue and speculative reflection on the relationshipbetween human intelligence, scientific and cultural phenomena, and the creation anddissemination of knowledge.
The book ‘Diagrams’ is intentionally unfinished to show readers the various stages of the production process. The codes and colours refer to shared standards, provide useful production data and function as diagrams. The pages have been printed, folded and sewn, but not cut. The printed sheets inside are fully exposed. The perforations in each section’s pages are necessary for air circulation during the binding process and also guide the unavoidable cutting of the pages with the letter opener included in the book box.
