On the way to a new architecture
The interviews with the architects of the projects recently selected for the Detail Award 2022 give food for thought: are we really facing a turning point that will also fundamentally change architecture? Markus Zilker from Einzueins Architektur also sees the award for the Gleis 21 residential building as a call to action: “If we want a comprehensive social and ecological transformation, then we have to be much more effective,” says the architect from Vienna.
