a+u’s April issue features BAST (Bureau Architectures Sans Titre), based in Toulouse, France. Laurent Didier, Mathieu Le Ny, and Louis Léger have structured a worker-owned cooperative to pursue a research-based approach to architecture. Instead of asserting a singular vision across the board, they inform each project with site-specific decisions and structural logic. Engaging with modest programs, including the refurbishment projects M47 and E53, BAST carves out new spaces while preserving the integrity of the local vernacular building. New constructions, such as M37, present new methods to connect with the site. The 18 projects presented in this issue focus not only on the finished building, but also on the dynamism of the construction site, where constant calibrations take place between human, site, and material.

『a+u』4月号は、フランスのトゥールーズを拠点とするBAST（Bureau Architectures Sans Titre：無題建築事務所）を特集する。ローラン・ディディエ、マチュー・ル・ニ、ルイ・レジェは、リサーチにもとづいたアプローチを追求するため、経営参加型協同組合（SCOP）を組織した。彼らは全般にわたって単一のビジョンを主張するのではなく、敷地固有の条件と構造的理論によって各プロジェクトを構築する。
改修プロジェクトであるメゾン47やエキプマン53を含む控えめなプログラムに取り組みながら、BASTは地元のヴァナキュラーな建物の整合性を保ちつつ、新たな空間を切り拓いている。メゾン37のような新築プロジェクトは、敷地とつながるための新しい手法を提示する。本号では、紹介する18のプロジェクトについて、竣工後の建物だけでなく、人間、敷地、素材の間で絶え間ない調整が行われる建設現場のダイナミズムにも焦点を当てている。（編）
