The current panorama of architecture presents us with a degree of complexity in which the specialist critic does not always manage to establish the clear, meaningful criteria that help to elucidate the complicated framework. This contribution seeks to do no more than reveal a given reality which consists of a group of projects which are, by and large, a compilation of the latest architectural constructions completed in Europe over the last three years. (1995) There is no attempt to give personal opinions in a categorical manner but rather to reveal certain tendencies and analyse their characteristics in order to provide the public with easier access to them. The lack of a historical perspective has made it difficult to establish a precise selection of the projects, and it has had to be based on the proven quality of these architects. We must also bear in mind that this appraisal is rooted in a definite moment in time.
