Our March focus on civic architecture showcases four buildings designed for public engagement and service of all stripes: a pair of museums, one in a windswept desert region of Chile and the other in the dense touristic heart of Delhi, that each make great effort to embrace the local communities; a multifaceted community center serving an underserved Twin Cities neighborhood; and a striking new public-broadcasting headquarters in Switzerland.
