The Weissenhofsiedlung is a housing development designed and built by the leading architects of the modern movement for the 1927 exhibition Die Wohnung (The Home). Based on the architects’ papers, records in the Stuttgart city archives, and interviews with contemporary witnesses, Kirsch offers an account of this unique urban environment that includes the surviving installation plans as well as previously unpublished photographs of furniture, interiors, and exteriors.
